iGCSE English Training

This runs in one of two formats:

1. A half day/twilight session working with the teacher(s) responsible for iGCSE English. The aim would be to analyse/audit where the school is currently, guidance on each of the components, advice on entries/tiers/boards, exemplars of coursework and of speaking and listening. Followed by production of a report containing recommended actions and useful resources for the delivery of the course and for students
2. A whole day working with 60 Year 11 students. This would be an interactive session designed to engage students and ensure progress. The focus will be on the components, the tiers and choice of the exam/coursework route. The key is to motivate students and create an understanding of the course requirements. A plan of work is developed and a follow up session is run in ten weeks later
