Creativity Across the Curriculum CPD

A full day session with the following aims:

  • Identify methods of coming up with radical lesson experiences for all subjects
  • Investigate juxtaposition as a key to creativity in the classroom
  • Use surrealistic tenets as a lesson planning device
  • Look at how the arts can be used to support learning
  • Examine the validity of kinaesthetic learning, using sport, drama and theatre to engage
  • Dissect Koestler's idea of bisociation
  • Agree with staff the specific impact of this session by:
    • Setting targets for creative lesson planning and translating the session into practical outcomes for all subjects
    • Agreeing an assessment regime to ensure that creativity is a sustainable component of teaching and learning
